Today we denounce the three levels of government, demanding that they release to us the political prisoners of San Sebastián Bachajón, Emilio Jimenez Gómez and Santiago Moreno Pérez, incarcerated in the CERSS 17 of Playas de Catazajá. Emilio is wrongly accused of assault on an Italian tourist in the community of Zanil and Santiago is wrongly accused of homicide from acts that occurred in the community of La Pimienta, Municipality of Chilón, where the PRIISTAS attacked him for being part of the supervisory board of the Sixth Declaration of the Ejido of San Sabastián Bachajón. They took out their arrest warrant, and confiscated his parcel of land, solar, and displaced his family leaving them with no place to live. Our comrade Santiago keeps getting sicker because in jail there is no medicine and he is of an advanced age.

Compañero Esteban Gómez Jiménez continues to be incarcerated in Cintalapa de Figueroa, Chiapas (Amate #14), where the charges of homicide have been dropped but he is still accused of assault on a truck of French tourists. We demand his freedom and the freedom of the other unjustly imprisoned as the conditions of life that they are living inside of the central penitentiary are steadily getting worse, their basic rights are violated and they live in permanent risk. They are denied health services and food, and the majority of the prisoners are fed by their families.

The prisoners are not guaranteed personal integrity, on several occasions they have denounced violations of their rights, but the bodies of government have not done anything, besides treating them inhumanely, not giving them access to justice because the authorities of this system are all corrupt, beginning at the top and working our way all the way down to the bottom of the system.

Today, human rights are no longer respected. They give more right to the people of the government than to the people of society. Because of this we call for the immediate freedom of all of those political prisoners that are innocent. To have a commitment to your people and your community does not signify committing a crime. For their involvement in the social struggle they are incarcerated and treated inhumanely. They demand their rights but the government turns a deaf ear.

Most of the people are unjustly imprisoned. The crimes are for speaking out and defending the earth because their people are living through repression and harassment on the part of the bad government. We thus ask for the immediate freedom of those imprisoned compañeros and also for the freedom of other political prisoners of Mexico and the world.

From the North of the State of Chiapas, the men and women of San Sebastián send a combative greeting to all of the compañeros and companñeras, communities and people of Mexico and the world that are in resistance.

Never more a Mexico without us!

Land and liberty!

Zapata lives!

Always until the victory!

Freedom to the political prisoners!
